Assume for a minute that you had to leave your homeland. Where would you go?
I’d likely move to New Zealand or Australia (because they speak English). Of course, if I picked some poor country I could retire and be some rich nobleman!

I hope I’m able ($$$) to move to London in 10 to 15 years. Not only it’s the home of all the wonderful drum & bass artists, great design studios and probably the best beer, but I have someone waiting for me there. Can’t wait any longer!
Melbourne Australia is from what I hear, a pretty big tech area too, so you might be able to get a job.
Me, I think I will choose Vancouver. I went to Vancouver last summer and loved it. Great place for sure.

New Zealand is a good choice though. there’s actually quite a few Kiwi’s in Playa.

Hahaha, Sean, I love the tattoo!
Franklin, NC
That’s a really nice site (the Franklin, NC one). I’m surprised there are not more travel sites of any worth. I was thinking about making a travel site for the Scottsdale / Phoenix area. It’d be a combination blog, events, galleries, and of course there would be advertising room.
Argentina – all the comforts of a modern city with a sweet monetary conversion rate.
I would also live in London. I had a gig there for a wedding years ago and was quite impressed with the culture. The apparent absence of a color line (although the class line was abundantly apparent) but the general vibe was really cool: Lot’s of art and music and theatre.
I must agree with some of you, I would also live in London.
If I had to leave the states, I’d move to Belize to float my life away in the Caribbean.
I have some good friends that live in Belize. They love it.
I have also been to Tahiti and that place is also great. Course, there’s no tech industry there so I would have to retire there. I have been to Hawaii and Tahiti and I think Tahiti blows Hawaii away.
Definately Australia is the place to be. In particular Queensland, sunny pretty much all the time. We’ve got great beaches, the oldest rain forest in the world. Cruisy place to live.
Heh, I live in New Zealand (the South Island). But I plan to move to either Wellington (the capital), or Australia (Melbourne–I’ve heard similar things to what Mark said, or Brisbane).
Seeing it was mentioned, Belize does seem like a nice place. Of course, a lot of places do until you check the CIA World Facts book… ๐
Hey Mick, is Australia having a big problem with deadly poisonious jelly fishes or is that just media hype?
I’d have to say Australia/New Zealand as well. Alternatively, it would be nice to hit up somewhere like Spain/Argentina, Greece, Cicily or Italy too.
LOL @ Chris. Don’t think so, few cyclones at the moment though. What you really gotta watch is those damn bull sharks! ๐
Haha, ok – cool. I kind of figured it was mostly media hype here in the states. Glad to know.
If I had some good money and had the choice to move another place, I would vote for Bhutan. The country is not rich and has hardly any modern facilities but the people have much less stress of modern life compared to other countries. The beautiful landscape is a bonus.
