Over the weekend I compiled both of my Photoshop tips articles into a single post and submitted it to Digg (sort of like Slashdot only not as cool but easy to get stuff listed). It completely blew our server and we were down for a while. I’m working on expanding the resources of our server so it doesn’t happen next time. It’s likely something to do with the way MySQL is configured.
I ended up getting a boatload of Digg’s though (1428 as of Sunday night) and I was excited about that. I hope we have a few new readers who stick around. Surprisingly most of the people said they knew the tips that were in the article. I would be willing to bet most people found one or two of them new (and that was the point). I don’t think anybody could come up with 10 brand new Photoshop tips that nobody even knows as some of the people who commented suggested. We were also page #1 on del.icio.us (I always have trouble typing that name!).
Anyways, I thought it was fun and worth mentioning.

Chris – Check out this site, it might be of use:
Your tips were very insightful! I came to your site because of the mention on Digg, but I will be coming back often (3-5 times a week) because of the content. You have an excellent blog that is definitely worth the read. Keep up the good work!
Tomas – that’s a great article and has a bunch of good tips. Thanks!
Robert – Thanks!! Glad you like it here. Thanks for the nice comment.
I think I need to learn how to properly use digg, because I always miss the cool stuff! Congratulations, I didn’t even see that, but you deserve the attention (and man, did thing ever get dugg!).
Steve, something I found entertaining was to add a bunch of friends (just ask for their digg id) and then it flags items your friends have dugg.
