Don’t know if the service they use is doing this, but I heard some traffic data companies are tracking cell phone signals to average the speed of traffic. Cool idea… as long as they aren’t signaling the cops down the road that I’m speeding while on the phone (is that illegal in AZ yet?) I have google mobile maps on my blackberry 8700 and this is a life saver when trying to get somewhere if there are different route options and see what has the least traffic.
