Reckless but interesting

These three links are interesting mostly because of how reckless it is but stunning because they have the fastest time to cross the United States in a vehicle.

  1. I’ve actually watched one of the Gumball 3000 documentaries and was quite amazed at how well the highway patrol was able to keep up with these guys. At one point, they ended up pulling over 15 cars in one shot. Then again, what do you expect when you see a pack of Ferrari’s and Lamborghini’s decked out with NASCAR style sponsorship.

    🙂

Some of these guys definitely have money to burn. Several of the exotic cars showed up at the finish line looking as if the front end had been sandblasted, and the owners were like “huh, oh well”.

  2. Great article. The most beautiful car I’ve ever scene is a dirty Lamborghini Murcielago in pearlescent white with Gumball 3000 stickers on it.

There is a famous story from the European edition of a chap in a Mclaren F1 outrunning an Ttalian police helicopter.

  3. Am I the only one who doesn’t use IE? Pages with that many flash elements shoot my FF memory usage up past 1GB.

    Good article, BTW 🙂
