I just recorded and distributed my first ever podcast and I barely spoke at all (I interviewed someone). Leave your vote if you think the team at Tornado here should do a BrainFuel podcast. Oh yeah, and I haven’t done an RSS feed for my podcast yet. I don’t have the time to figure it out.

  1. Congrats! Don’t worry, I hear the RSS thing is a breeze, you just have to update an xml file ๐Ÿ™‚ Theres a good tut in the iTunes store/Apple site on it :-).

The only thing I left desiring (besides a nice cup of roasted coffee) was I hungered for some video. A video podcast would add so much life to the interview. but great job, and if you ever want to interview me on my exciting coffee exploits let me know ๐Ÿ™‚ (that’s a joke, I have no coffee exploits other than drinking the same coffee every day)

  2. Yeah, I really did enjoy doing the podcast. It’s not as much work once you get a few under your belt, or so I’m told.

I need to get a video camera. Any suggestions?

  3. I enjoyed it! I’m not as big a coffee buff as you, but will say that you did a nice interview — you got some skills there, fo sho.

  4. Chris – one suggestion, it would’ve been nice if a janitor had walked in on the interview and started cleaning around you guys (inside joke ๐Ÿ˜‰ ).

    Great job on the interview!

  5. just get podpress http://www.mightyseek.com/podpress/ and all your worries will be over, it’s a supersweet plugin, i’ve got it running here if you want to see it in action:

It creates all the enclosure code for the rss, and embeds a nice little flash mp3 player in the post, and tracks the downloads as well. It is brilliant.

If you do an enhanced podcast in m4a or apples aac format, make sure you set the mime types on the server using an .htaccess file (media temple doesn’t serve m4a properly right now)
