Totally. Lots of fun – they curl up pretty fast. Harder to actually “burn” them – I think instead they boil in the exoskeletons. Then again, perhaps “fun” was too strong a word.
I remember doing this and also doing the same to grass hoppers. Plus you could take off the grass hoppers head and it would continue to hop around.

As a kid, I remember that. They sizzle up and they smell bad.
