Does anybody know of some good software that could enable me to host a job board similar to the 37signals one? I’m interested in expanding my coffee blog to include jobs in the coffee industry. The trouble is, I haven’t been able to locate any job board software that is simple enough. This is definately one of those areas where I don’t want to reinvent the wheel.

I wonder if you could subscribe to the RSS feed that some of the job boards like Simply Hired offer. Just do the appropriate keyword search and leave the location open.
Of course, there might be some policies you’ll need to explore before doing that and you wouldn’t be able to monetize it.
I don’t know for sure, but it doesn’t really seem as though what 37s is doing is really all that complicated.
you could ask friday-morning if they’ll let you use ekwipment.
Wow, these are both great ideas. I’m going to follow up with Ekwipment about using their app, but just including a localized RSS feed may be a good short term solution.
Here is an idea…
Use wordpress.
Title = Job
Body = Description
Categories = Main Categorie > Categories
City = Main Categorie > Cities
Custom Fields = $$, etc.
With this solution you would have RSS instantly plus other things.
My friend Alan Cohen runs a job board for the fitness industry. fitnessjobs.com
I made a localized job board (using WordPress) for the oil industry in West Texas. The mods can be found here: http://www.digitalwestex.com/blog/?page_id=16
Maybe it will be close to what you need.
