Lately I’ve been using Yahoo for search more and more. First I try Google, and then I try Yahoo and I’m just saying this now, I really do think that Yahoo has a solid search technology back end. They’ve caught up in the last few years with Google if you want my opinion.

Google is actually recommending the third party Googlebar. I’m surprised, I thought they could just throw a few developers into a room for a few months and build a FireFox compatable Googlebar.

BrainFuel reader Destin sent in this site for Windward Flutes. It’s rather nice and the long wide approach works great for the product type. Perhaps taking minimalism too far in its lack of any significant content.

SEOmoz.com is a pretty cool web site and they have some excellent tools for analyzing your site ranking in search engines.

I think it would be fun to make stuff like these edible iPod shuffles. I love reading about how companies photograph food. Using all kinds of fake ingredients. It’s fascinating. Here’s some others.

I hadn’t ever read much or seen many pictures of Chernobyl and then I found this interesting photo tour. Some woman rode a motorcycle through Chernobyl a few years back snapping pictures and adding commentary. Quite a fascinating look at how nothing in this city has changed since 1986. Use the “Next Page” links or the navigation at the bottom to get around the site.

    I’d just like to say that the Narnia trailer looks pretty awesome, and the Longhorn screenshots look a little too much like OS X for their own good…
