I’m back from Brasil and it was a terrific trip! I’ll post some photos from my trip soon. I’m listening to Brasilian music while I look at my photos and check my email. Using the PowerBook with the power adaptor I bought worked perfectly and so I was able to charge the battery everywhere I went.

Welcome back Chris! Did you find the ethanol gas pumps?
Thanks! I did! I’ll post a picture when I get a chance. I even drove in a car and got photos of the engine.
Great to see you back Chris! You’ll have to share those Brazilian tunes with me.
Thanks Tomas, I will do that. It’s some good stuff.
Hey isn’t there a song called “The Girl From Ipanema”? Ever hear it?
Yeah! And she’s the girl my cousin married (literally).
Mark – “The Girl From Ipanema” is one of the most popular soul-bossa nova tunes from back in the day. One of the more popular versions is by Stan Getz and is sung in English & Portuguese.
Dude, I totally grew up with that song blasting on the lite favorites / musak station blasting from my parents’ car in the 60s and 70s.
Memories, light the corners of my…uh, nevermind.
Here’s some interesting facts from Wikipedia

Wasn’t there a musak version by Herb Albert and the Tijuana Brass as well?
Yep, I know the Stan Getz version… I’m actually a big Stan Getz fan 🙂 If you want to hear some good Stan Getz get the Jazz Samba album with Charlie Byrd, it’s very good.
Oi Chris,
