Ipanema Beach

I’m back from Brasil and it was a terrific trip! I’ll post some photos from my trip soon. I’m listening to Brasilian music while I look at my photos and check my email. Using the PowerBook with the power adaptor I bought worked perfectly and so I was able to charge the battery everywhere I went.

  1. Mark – “The Girl From Ipanema” is one of the most popular soul-bossa nova tunes from back in the day. One of the more popular versions is by Stan Getz and is sung in English & Portuguese.

  2. Dude, I totally grew up with that song blasting on the lite favorites / musak station blasting from my parents’ car in the 60s and 70s.

Wasn’t there a musak version by Herb Albert and the Tijuana Brass as well?

  3. Yep, I know the Stan Getz version… I’m actually a big Stan Getz fan 🙂 If you want to hear some good Stan Getz get the Jazz Samba album with Charlie Byrd, it’s very good.
