I’ve been futzing on Google trying to get through my Friday doing as little as possible so I can get my last bit of relaxing in before the weekend, when I ran across maps.google.com. I haven’t seen/heard much about it, but I have been under a rock latley so keep that in mind. It’s a pretty impressive system IMO. Works fast, you can actually read the street names, and the visuals aren’t imposing.

Must’ve been a pretty large rock: Feedster and Technorati.
I love being able to pan around using the arrow keys and the page up/down. Pretty sweet tool.
Some blogger investigated the actual code and how it works; I wish I remember where it was now.
…the rock was approx 9lbs 3 ounces 😉
