Thinking about this from a long tail perspective puts a whole different meaning to it, in my opinion.
Ever have an ex-girlfriend who you ran into 3 years later, and just off a couple nostalgiac jokes, got her to come back to your place for a nice romp? Well…

The Long Tail… Is best with very cheap warehousing or virtual product!
While the heat and light of blockbusters and bestsellers can generate a lot of money, there are also big bucks in continuing to sell only a few at a time for a very long time, especially if the storage (or on-demand production) overhead is low.
Ok, so it’s not funny.
All the world’s grandmas blogging about cats add up to mean more than the BBC could ever dream of (and that’s really cool).
A term coined by an over-academic working for a webshop whose sole purpose is to flaunt it’s ability to be over-academic and coin useless terms for things that already exist. (Read: Ajax)
