Here’s a clear winner: Snacksby, which is a site that recommends recipes based on what you have in your pantry. Thanks to Alexander Curtis for sending this one in.
What a great idea, and the site look and layout is very well done.
I bet I could put Snacksby to a *real* test…
or maybe I should just break down and go grocery shopping.
crap. That was an idea I have totally been working on for the past few months. (though no real work has been done on it yet)
Great idea, not that great of recommendations of recipes if you are wanting to solely cook what is in your pantry. I plugged in some stuff and it recommended ingredients of things that would require going to the grocery for (items I did not have).
That’s a great idea. I just wish it had nutrition information. All Recipes ties in with the ESHA Nutrient Database and compiles nutrition information on the fly based on the ingredients. I’d be nice to see them implement something like that.
