I came across Pando today after a friend emailed me a link. This is one of those “made-up-names” that I really like. It’s short and sounds like “panda.”

I also have an affinity for those odd business names. Infact I am doing my spring cleaning (I know, it’s july – don’t remind me) and I have been going through a ton of old archived school work. In there I found all sorts of little business logos with wierd names like Zugee and Hosses Sausages. Good times!
Made-up name? My coworker from 12 years ago, Ed Pando, might be insulted…
Well, maybe Ed will be able to get over it. It might be tough, but it’s the best we can hope for. 😉
Hi guys,
Pando does actually have a meaning. Its a Latin word meaning “to spread, extend, make known”, which is the essence of the p2p platform that powers Pando.
