Just as Google has recently introduced a movie search option, I would like to recommend that Google now focus on events. Wouldn’t it be awesome if you could search local events by date in your area?

I imagine a search query would look something like this: event: March 3, Phoenix, AZ (with the option to include a keyword). Wouldn’t that be slick? Google would find out about upcoming events by scanning the web and newspaper event guides. I’m sure they could do it. If they did the movie search, I’m sure they can do events.
