Ever since I can remember it’s been about computers, the internet, and all things technology. That’s how Bill Gates made his fortune and many others. But today, that’s all changed. The founder of IKEA has passed Mr. Gates and now Ingvar Kamprad, a name I don’t even know, is the richest man in the world. So now, the richest man in the world is a guy that sells furniture. Haha!
I’m really surprised about this: Adobe and Macromedia joining forces. Or rather, Adobe is buying Macromedia. What is the future of all of the products that compete? Like Illustrator vs. Freehand, and GoLive vs. Dreamweaver, and Fireworks vs. ImageReady. I’m curious.

Design Observer has an interesting look at how almost all of todays magazine covers are really just photos with a headline and type treatments. Years ago they were a story and an idea usually accompanied by an engaging picture or icon. Yesterday’s covers had a message within the design that they were saying to everyone.
Someone told me that making your text bold on your site helps with keyword search results. I’m not sure what to think about this idea. Does Google look at your CSS file and identify whether you’re making text bold? I know that Google looks at the words you use in your link text. Hmmm…?
