ASP Protect looks like a nice and cost effective password protection script for protecting folders and managing multiple users. In a very simple environment of course.

I just wanted to post a note about VLC Media Player. It’s a really nice, open source, free video player for any OS. It plays DVDs and just about any other media format. If you are trying to play a movie (especially a DVD), give it a try.

PunBB looks like a nice alternative to all of the other bulletin board systems on the market today. It has less code, (supposedly) outputs valid XHTML, and driven by PHP. It even exports an RSS feed (since I know someone will ask).

I wondered if anybody could recommend a good trouble ticketing system? Need something that’s web based and can receive new tickets via either e-mail or web form. Thanks! Update: A few systems I have found: OmniStar Live, phpSupport, TIS LIGHT, Support Services Manager, PHP Ticket.

I thought this was an interesting looking .NET Blog System. It appears to have been originally developed by a guy named Scott Watermasysk and I’m not entirely sure of his role now.

Vanilla Forum (PHP/MySQL) looks really nice. It’s new. Also, they have a FileBrowser program that’s also interesting. I haven’t tried either.
