I found the Blurb web site yesterday by accident and really love it! It’s so distinctive yet strangely reminds me of a design I tried to do a few years ago. Anyhow, just wanted to pass it along. It’s one of the cooler sites I have seen in a while.

Amazing service. Thanks for the link, ’cause this is exactly what one of my clients was looking for. Just a few books, so she didn’t need a bulk publishing service.
I’m glad it was handy! I noticed they do photo books as well. I was just thinking about trying that out and couldn’t decide between this company and the one Flickr partnered with.

I suupose the cheaper one is a temptation, but Blurb’s offering seem more refined and for me, at least, justifies the price. I’ll let you know how my book looks once I get it. Of course if you have a Mac, the service that iPhoto uses ain’t bad either (linen bound hard cover and all)
Blurb is packaged nicely and the software seems easy enough to use, but for the money lulu.com offers a really nice hardcover casewrap (printed and laminated cover) with your custom cover art (front and back) for less.
Of course when you use lulu, all the layout and art is up to you; they don’t offer any type of template based software to guide you.
I suppose it boils down to what you need, how much control you want, and how much time you have to devote to the project.
