The Sprout web site is bare bones simple and I think that’s what makes it so effective. It’s difficult to mis understand what it is that this company does.

Andy just linked me up with bgpatterns.com and it’s definitely the coolest thing I’ve seen all month. The site makes it simple to create a background tile for your web site.

Time.com has launched a brand new re-design, and I really like what I’m seeing. They’ve created a clear layout that is surprisingly easy to navigate. The most surprising thing of all is that the top header area (all red) doesn’t contain a single advertisement. Instead, the ads are in the content areas. That’s really nice….

I really like the Saab site! When you go to the homepage and roll over the left navbar items the huge picture of the car changes. Really nicely done. There’s a conversation at SvN about their new tagline (Born from Jets).

Swivel is one of the coolest web apps I have seen in recent weeks. It’s a super clean layout and actually useful. It’s a great example of bringing a technology that’s difficult to accomplish to the masses.

Bill Gates featured iRiver in his Keynote at CES this year and I thought the design of the iRiver site was nice (especially the logo and the wide use of white space).
