Working on a BrainFuel redesign
We’re working on a BrainFuel redesign and wanted to ask our readers what it is about BrainFuel that keeps you coming back (besides our apparent witty remarks).
We’ve just upgraded to the latest version of WordPress to make this effort easier. We’d like to continue the caption contests but find a way to ensure they don’t take focus away from the focus of this blog (design, business, and the web), move the links to the right sidebar, and keep the general green / space theme.
So what do you like best about BrainFuel and what would you like to see more of?

Love all the great sites you find and spotlight. It’d be good to see a gallery of those screens and be able to navigate through them in columns of thumbnails.

Hiya Chris! Well that’s an interesting question–I actually subscribe to your feed so it’s rare that I bounce on over to the site unless I’m leaving a comment.
The best thing I like about Brainfuel is the cool and interesting sites you feature–I think many of the new sites I’ve discovered have come via this blog. As far as what I would like to see more of, maybe some more software and hardware hacks by Tom Chapin.

Frankly, I like the site as it is. There’s a nice mix of content which always keeps it interesting.
The only suggestions I’d offer regard design of the site itself. I’d like to see a wider layout, and a more obvious navigation out to other parts of the site (about, advertise…) and also more emphasis on the connection with the company and the projects.

Thanks for the feedback everybody. What you all described is essentially what we have in mind. A way to promote our side projects better, enhance the Tornado brand, but keep the best of what makes BrainFuel an interesting and fun site. And, we’ll probably keep the green background, too.

I agree. Whenever I get the chance to move around the web I choose Brainfuel. I work at a university and sometimes it is not all learning. I can pick up interesting and clever items from the site which I problably never would have encountered otherwise. Keep up the great work.

I agree with this…also, I’d like to suggest that there couldn’t perhaps be more competitions online for fun to get our blood and brains pumping?
