I wonder how to do a painting/drawing like that and get the perspective so perfect?

Maybe if I had a device that would project a square grid with lasers or something.. and I could put it on a tripod and make reference marks on the walls.

hmm. any ideas? anyone?

ah ha! apparently all you have to do is use a projector and paint on the colors!
