The sun is shining

9rulesBesides a recently redesigned BrainFuel, we have some other news to let our readers know about. BrainFuel is now a part of the 9rules Network.

Yes, you heard it here, first.

I received an email from Scrivs the other day letting me know of the decision. Scrivs had sent in a team of experts to analyze BrainFuel and we were able to bribe them with some donuts and coffee. That, combined with weeks of negotiations at fancy resorts is what did it, I’m sure.

No, seriously. We’re excited to be a part of 9rules.

So what is BrainFuel? A weblog written by a small group of web designers and developers. Most of us are in Phoenix, AZ and one guy is in Sherman, TX. Read our about page for the scoop. We write about all things web design. We review cool web sites, software, and web apps. We post witty commentary and interviews with Superman, Bob from Bob’s BBQ, and others. And we have caption contest every Friday. Chris Tingom (aka Superman) posts the most.

What is 9rules? The 9rules Network is about building a community of high quality websites as well as a community of highly discerning readers. That’s code for we’re going to get a lot of traffic and they’re sending it to us. Read more at the 9rules web site.

Don’t miss this weeks caption contest (scroll down).

Thanks,
Chris Tingom

  • So, I guess in the context of an earlier discussion this makes your site more “successful”?

    Who knows. ; )

Anyway, good luck with the new relationship.

  • After following the link from 9rules, and walking around for a bit, looks like I’ve found another site to keep in my NetNewsWire feeds… Congratulations on the selection and I’m look forward to reading the future, and past, posts.

  • Great looking site you’ve got here. My guess on this week’s caption is that the man in the mask is someone from BrainFuel and that the stoic one is Srivs. :)

Andrew, it’s so odd to see your name on here, because my little brother is Andrew Smith. Anyways, he’s a cool guy, so I’m assuming you are too. Welcome to 9rules!

  • I see you’ve managed to exploit Scrivs’ weakness.. :D Nevertheless, another great selection for the network! Welcome aboard, guys!

  • Scrivs, stoic? Haha, you don’t know me very well then. My only stoic moments occur in my sleep and I am not even sure I am stoic then.

Andrew Smith is, in fact, a very popular name (which can be verified simply by googling “Andrew Smith”). I checked out your website. I thought it was really, really impressive. Good job.

  • Haha, Googlefight is awesome.
335,000 results, and one of those is me. Interesting.
