We’re looking for recommendations for spelling check plugins that work with WordPress (it’s for a client, not me, my spelling is awesome).
We’ve tried a few including the ColdForged one and are looking for something that doesn’t use the aspell system however we’d try any others based on a good recommendation.

Why not just type the entry in a standard application like Word, let it do your spell checking, then dump the corrected article in WordPress and use one of the standard text formatting plugins available (like SmartyPants, or whatever works with WP) to format it automatically for the web?
Why not just use something like writely or ZoHoWriter instead of word becuase word leave some nasty formating that should be fixed in the htnl view. writely and zohowriter do not do this.
I would, but the client wants it, badly.
oh in that case there is one that I know of for sure and when I tested it I was not happy.

I’ve also been trying to decide on a spell checker for WordPress. I work from a lot of different computers so it’s nice to write and save drafts directly into WordPress so it can be accessed anywhere.
I tried one spellcheck a while back and couldn’t get it to work.
How about http://www.jacuba.com?
“Jacuba is an online spell checker that you can apply to any text area. Currently available for Explorer and Firefox. Other browsers coming soon”

I am running WordPress 1.5.1.2
What am I doing wrong?
Help me please!
Dude, you should move on from ColdForged. There’s a new plugin called EditorMonkey for WordPress that totally changes everything. Check it out.
