So random it’s not & let’s talk about AIM
So I’m curious to know what my friends thinks about the AIM privacy debate going on right now. Read this article if you aren’t familiar with it yet (the news just broke the other day). Essentially, AOL lays claim to anything posted on AIM and they’re saying they can do whatever they want with it. If nothing else, it makes you wonder about who’s reading your chats. Here’s a link to the AIM TOS (it’s in there, I checked).
Imagine sending a business plan document through instant messenger only to have AOL claim it and start up a similar business. I’ve sent plenty of files via instant messenger. Really makes you wonder.
