Places to Ski Within 1-Day Drive of Phoenix, Arizona
Ski season starts up soon! If you want to ski in Arizona your best bet is always going to be Snowbowl or Sunrise, however I’ve compiled a short list for future reference of some of the other places you can get to within a days drive.
- Taos, New Mexico (no snowboards allowed, interestingly)
- Telluride, Colorado
- Brians Head, Utah
- Big Bear, Califorina
- Sunrise, White Mountains Arizona
- Arizona Snowbowl, Flagstaff Arizona
- Mt. Lemmon, Arizona (does anybody actually ski here?)
Know of any other places or care to mention a specific resort? Leave a comment.

Don’t forget Wolf Creek near Pagosa Springs, CO.
I’ve heard Big Bear is terrible, just because everybody from LA tries to go there.

[...] Wait, I do own a pair of gloves. But I only pull them out when I go skiing. Incidentially, I store them in my back pack, which I never cary on my back. [...]
