iUniverse is a publishing company that helps people self-publish books. I’m passing it along since I found the concept interesting (they’re hooked up with Barnes and Noble, so if you sell a lot of books, they’ll actually consider it). They also allow you to print on-demand, meaning you can write a book and be published with less cost up front.

A while ago I came across a similar service at http://www.lulu.com. I think the concept is great! I really like the way lulu allows you to select the binding style and size of your book.
