If we change the name of the glove compartment (or glovebox), we might as well do the same for the trunk, dashboard, floorboard and headlight. Actually, I keep a set of thick leather garden gloves in my car, however, they’re in the trunk. Much too bulky for the dainty glovebox. By the way, the gloves spare my hands from looking like some stigmata after carrying up fresh drycleaning. Cheers!

I once bought an mx-5 for $1,000. I fixed it up a little bit then turned around and sold it to an older gentleman for $3,000. What is it with old guys and tiny sports cars? heh. I'd much prefer a twin turbo RX-7. (I know, random comment...)

Well it is for keeping your gloves in, but it’s for your driving gloves. If you’re one of those wanky old fellas in a cap who drives an mgb, or the modern version who drives an mx-5 with your driving gloves (they’re kinda like sailing gloves but less slippery), then it’s for you.
