Here’s a simple event registration system from CodeWidgets.com (ASP).
You’ve seen Evite, now imagine if we wanted to make a system like that for event registration for one of our clients monthly seminars. That’s what we want to do, except we need to capture more details about the people who are registering, and send them reminder emails automatically at specified dates, and have the functionality to print out lists of who is attending.
We’re thinking about building this ourselves and figured it would be worth asking if anybody has ever heard of something like what we need. If you have, please let us know.
Some systems I found: iVite (an obvious ripoff of Evite), and Cvent.

I used Cvent and had a terrible experience.
I found Cvent’s product to be too hard to use and more time consuming that my initial methodology.
