Happy 4th of July! I’ve taken fireworks photos for the last few years and decided to re post a few of my better ones from Tempe Town Lake.

Here is a photo I took about 10 years ago in Mendocino, CA.
I saw this the other day and my heart skipped a beat.

As most of you know, I spent most of last week in San Francisco for the Web 2.0 Expo. It was a lot of fun, and enjoyable to meet a lot of the Viddler team for the first time. While in SF, we launched Viddler 2.0. My part was primarily in telling people about the product while I was there, and designing some cool cards and handouts.

People picking favorite sessions for the Web2Open. A sort of Barcamp within the Expo.

Harry Snodgrass, an adviser to Viddler and Emmy Award Winning Sound Editor. And an all around nice guy.

I was trying to imagine a scenario where I would consider dressing up like this for an event. I couldn’t think of one.

We had time to visit a coffee shop named Ritual. It was fun.

My latte.

The cool chalkboard menu board.
I’ve been in San Francisco since Saturday and have been working with the Viddler team on the launch of version 2.0 of the site. It just launched last night at 2 o’clock in the morning. We’re at the Web 2.0 Expo to announce the new stuff on the site, meet with people, and generally have a good time.
While I’m here, I’m also planning to tell a few people about our upcoming product (we got business cards for it, finally, which I’ll show at some undisclosed date here on BrainFuel). I’m going to try to visit a few coffee shops. Taking a lot of photos and video, and enjoying the California weather.

An interesting billboard we saw.

I’m back from a weekend trip to the San Diego Zoo, which was tons of fun. Here are a few photos.

This bird looks like he needs hands.

Some cool elephants.

We got to see the panda bears.

My new hero.
