I thought long and hard about what to post before my trip. I wanted to leave a good last impression (I’ll be back June 1st) and so here is a little bit of fun looking at cool maps I’ve seen on the web. Share yours if you know of any good ones.
There are so many ways to make maps interesting. I think the best reason to make an interesting map is because it blends into your site better and you can communicate interesting landmarks. Here are some interesting maps I’ve seen recently.
A map of a small area in downtown New York City
The Gorilla Coffee location map in New York City (neat perspective)
The map on the Studio Dialog site.
The map the Copper Square web site
What maps have you seen that are cool? Post a comment if you know of any good ones.

Hah, except those aren’t all road maps. But cool nevertheless.
Wow Chris, those are not only great maps, but great sites overall as well. I really like the StudioDialog site, their reel kicks. Some of the best stuff I’ve seen in a while.
Anyone know (Tomas?) where that music (from the StudioDialog demo reel) is from? I cant stop listening to it full bore.
Great stuff!
I know, isn’t that an amazing site? Good stuff all around. I just wish I had been able to find more maps to show off.
P.S. I’m sitting at the airport waiting for my flight enjoying free wifi. This is the way an airport should be.
Mark – I believe the song is “24” by Jem (from her Finally Woken Album).
That’s it! Thanks Tomas
I had fun mapping the Downtown Phoenix arts district:
