Pretend that every single person you meet has a sign around his or her neck that says, ”Make me feel important.” Not only will you succeed in sales, you will succeed in life.

Can you relate to this?

Received this from Don yesterday, I think it’s so awesome. Reminds me of this.

Sunkist

Sunkist has a nice site. They have the color scheme right, they have the photos right, and the overall style is just right. I think the faded photos with feathered edges are a little bit over the top. It works though. They have a cool chart and flavor wheel on the site as well. Good stuff.

The Advertising Slogan Generator.
This has got to be one of the funniest/coolest things I’ve seen all day!

Try putting your business name into the field and see what pops up. If you don’t have a business, try your first name instead.

An Ex Googler Tells All

Post a Comment By Chris Tingom on

I don’t know why but I found Xooglers to be a really fun read. Probably because the writer is an ex Googler (who worked there from 1999 to 2005) and he tells some personal stories about when he was hired. Interesting interview questions from Sergey, and much more.

The writer is named Edward and he came up with the name for AdWords and his blog is a place where ex Googlers converge to talk about the latest at Google. Side note: I love how it’s on Blogger (one of Google’s properties). He writes a few paragraphs where he explains how he didn’t always like how Sergey boiled life down to numbers. Especially when it comes to asking new hires their GPA. Worth a read.

The Toyota Site

The folks at Toyota are trying something interesting with their web site. Notice how some of the photos look like they were actually taken by an amateur photographer? Yeah, I noticed that as well. Instead of showing the super-glossy and near perfection we typically see on car ads, they’re showing us a normal photo with obvious imperfections (the reflections for example).

Overall excellent web site. Things I would change include a new navigation system throughout the web site that focuses on crisper graphics and better typography.

Since my space ship is taking forever to build, I am thinking about an island and just moving and becoming a hermit. Any takers?

Capturing Kong – an interesting interview with Peter Jackson about King Kong by Newsweek

Here’s an interesting product and service review web site / blog written by what looks to me to be a normal person. Very cool. goldpepper.com

This is pretty random but you can see a map of the U.S. nuclear power stations on this web site.

Apparently Google is a popular search engine.
