From that same post about good copywriting I mentioned yesterday, I found a company called Dept. 3 which has an elegant Flash web site that makes content and ease of use primary.

We Sold Out

As you can see, we’re trying an experiment with Google text ads. So far, they don’t seem that relevant – I may be a web designer, but that doesn’t mean I NEED a web designer!

I was reading a discussion about copywriting on the web and came across the Clip-n-Seal web site. It’s a winner because it’s so simple and concise I feel like they’re not wasting my time. I can immediately focus on the content and figuring out what exactly the product is and does.

Thanks to Ryan Thrash, today we have a new favicon for BrainFuel. We didn’t have one before and Ryan has made a fantastically cool one using our fire icon. Thanks a million!

This is just fantastic – check out Parking Spots. I am going to pick up some HotWheels at Target after work. It’s a bit like WordPhoto but more focused and whimsical.

Grill it up, looking at BBQs

Ahh, the warm days of spring and summer are here and what else to do but cook up some steaks, maybe a little bit of chicken or some hotdogs. Mmmm-mmmm! So naturally, you gotta get a barbeque, or at least check out the latest barbeques.

Check out Char-Broil’s web site. I like how they feature a specific product on the homepage, they have a neat find your dream grill page which helps me figure out what kind of BBQ is right for me (through elimination).

Interactive room planner system

I discovered a very cool Flash web app recently.

First, see Jordans Roomplanner. It’s awesome because I can choose what type of room I want to design, it gives me a template to begin with. And most importantly, I can customize virtually any aspect of a room, including size and shape of furniture, etc.

The company behind this great system is called Icovia and they have an awesome site. I love the deep brown color used and the simple site design which is focused.

We have just about finished upgrading to Plesk version 7. It’s a nice upgrade. We had a few problems along the way and overall we’re back up.
