Northern Trust Bank

This is my bank web site and they’ve just re-vamped it. The neat thing is they have been able to have pull down menus which go over a Input pull down menu field. That’s slick. Probably something that has been possible for a year now, but I never knew it. This bank rocks. Free online banking and bill pay. I love it.

Check out the new Charles Schwab web site. It’s come a long ways since its infancy years ago when Razorfish was working on it. Now it’s got a whole new navigation scheme (much improved and non-graphical if I do say so myself!). Then there are some good photos that dominate the screen.

I love how focused this web site is. The intuitive navigation panes and typography are especially nice.

Photo Friday: the weekly contest site

You are challenged to photograph a certain item… see past entrants for examples. You will be inspired to take more pictures.

Photos with a certain feel can only be made with toy cameras. Let creativity run wild; shoot like film costs nothing, whether digital or lomo. This should be another post, and deserves more commentary, but I’ll let you visit the sites and make your own.

KQED

This public broadcasting station has a pretty neat web site… they’ve got flash integrated throughout and it appears to be a simplified navigation.
