On September 11, we recognize a few sites designed well that make tribute to the events of last September 11th.
Cantor Families site is a great example of simple design with fast downloading and dark background, September 11: Bearing Witness to History is a great site by Second Story. Check out the Collection page for a great design interface. Another good site is actually a Kiosk, named September 11: My Witness, by Second Story again, this is only a small portion of the actual project, pretty cool.

An interesting site. Navigation is a bit spotty and the text size could be a bit larger. Seriously? Does anybody know from glancing through this site what they do (not just design? specialty? what have they done?) and where they are located? Does it work?
